I am 56 and had pain in my hips, burning pain in my foot/ankle, tinnitus, jaw clenching and left teeth rubbing on tongue, insomnia and auto-immune issues. I had healed my auto-immune issues to about 85% with diet and herbs, but got stuck and plateaued for the last year or 2. FM's have helped me heal those the rest of the way. My pain is gone and I am now just dealing with fascial tightness in a few areas of my body. My tinnitus in 8 months is just about gone. My teeth no longer rub on the side of my tongue. My stress levels have majorly decreased which has resulted in better sleep, weight loss, and an over all feeling of wellbeing. FM's have really changed my life and helped me reverse my ageing process. I feel so much better and have so much more energy! I am also a Thai Massage therapist and Bowen Therapist. It is the tissue that is in our bodies that connects EVERYTHING together. It is like a spider web that surrounds muscles, organs, ligaments, bones, brain, nerves and lymph.... everything.... It can get dry and bunched together creating issues within the body. What is a Fascial Maneuver? It is a mix of movement, intention, and breath to release tension and restrictions within the body and it's systems. Over time and with consistency the body can be relieved from pain, auto-immune issues, weight gain, balance hormones and initiate healing in every aspect of the body. We work with the 3 zones of the body; head torso, and legs. As in like an animal balloon, as we twist 1 area of the body, we are increasing the pressure in the other parts of the body to help in the fascial release. Using our intension and engaging the Reticular Activating System (RAS) of our brain, we will increase our healing benefits. Having a clear intension and being aware of the changes being made in the body will give you increased and faster results. Focusing our mind on our intended results, as in releasing the fascia around a certain muscle etc., will include the brain in reprogramming the body and increasing the results of the movement. Start the Routines with a body scan, see what you are feeling and then do it again afterwards to feel and incorporate the changes you feel into your body using our RAS. Breathing... Breathing during the maneuver adds a new dimension to the movement/stretch and allows the body to expand from the inside out. It will increase the benefits of the FM (fascial Maneuver) as well as reducing stress in the body. Breathing through the nose will activate the top half of the body where breathing through the mouth will activate the lower half of the body. Walking... Walking after a set of FM's is the best way for the body to adapt to new changes in pressure and range of motion and to integrate the effects of the maneuver fully. It is best to walk 45 seconds to 3 minutes for the body to fully integrate the changes. You can also do just the 45 seconds and then when you are done with your full FM routine for the day take a 20-30 minute walk for an amazing body integration. Observing... When doing FM's it is important to observe the changes that are occurring in your body. This not only speeds up the integration of the changes, but it also helps to connect you deeper to what works and what doesn't work for your body. Ask yourself: How do you feel; warmth, coolness, buzzing, itching, relief of pain, movement of pain? Do you feel energized or exhausted? In many cases, inflammation is your body's response to stress. Therefore, reducing "fight-or-flight" responses in the nervous system and lowering biological markers for stress can also reduce inflammation. Typically, doctors prescribe medications to combat inflammation. However, there's growing evidence that another way to combat inflammation is by engaging the vagus nerve and improving “vagal tone.” This can be achieved through daily habits such as yoga and meditation—or in more extreme cases of inflammation, such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA)—by using an implanted device for vagus nerve stimulation (VNS). The vagus nerve is known as the "wandering nerve" because it has multiple branches that diverge from two thick stems rooted in the cerebellum and brainstem that wander to the lowest viscera of your abdomen touching your heart and most major organs along the way. Vagus means "wandering" in Latin. The words vagabond, vague, and vagrant are all derived from the same Latin root. In 1921, a German physiologist named Otto Loewi discovered that stimulating the vagus nerve caused a reduction in heart rate by triggering the release of a substance he coined Vagusstoff (German for "Vagus Substance”). The “vagus substance” was later identified as acetylcholine and became the first neurotransmitter ever identified by scientists. Vagusstoff (acetylcholine) is like a tranquilizer that you can self-administer simply by taking a few deep breaths with long exhales. Consciously tapping into the power of your vagus nerve can create a state of inner-calm while taming your inflammation reflex. The vagus nerve is the prime component of the parasympathetic nervous system which regulates the “rest-and-digest” or “tend-and-befriend” responses. On the flip side, to maintain homeostasis, the sympathetic nervous system drives the “fight-or-flight” response. Deep diaphragmatic breathing—with a long, slow exhale—is key to stimulating the vagus nerve and slowing heart rate and blood pressure, especially in times of performance anxiety. A higher vagal tone index is linked to physical and psychological well-being. Conversely, a low vagal tone index is associated with inflammation, depression, negative moods, loneliness, heart attacks, and stroke. A 2010 study, “How Positive Emotions Build Physical Health: Perceived Positive Social Connections Account for the Upward Spiral Between Positive Emotions and Vagal Tone,” was published in Psychological Science. For this research, Barbara Fredrickson and Bethany Kok of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill honed in on the vagus nerve and discovered that a high vagal tone index was part of a feedback loop between positive emotions, physical health, and positive social connections. Their research suggests that positive emotions, robust social connections, and physical health influence one another in a self-sustaining upward spiral dynamic and feedback loop that scientists are just beginning to understand. For this experiment, Frederickson and Kok used a Loving-Kindness Meditation (LKM) technique to help participants become better at self-generating positive emotions. However, they also found that simply reflecting on positive social connections and working to improve close-knit human bonds also caused improvements in vagal tone. In 2014, I wrote a Psychology Today blog post, “How Does the Vagus Nerve Convey Gut Instincts to the Brain?" based on findings by researchers in Switzerland who identified how the vagus nerve conveys “gut feelings” of anxiety and fear to the brain. Clinical and experimental studies indicate that stress and depression are associated with the up-regulation of the immune system, including increased production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. When administered to patients or laboratory animals, cytokines have been found to induce typical symptoms of depression. Therefore some cases of low mood, low energy, and lack of motivation may be due to elevated levels of cytokine proteins. Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) Dramatically Reduces Arthritic Inflammation Source: Alila Medical Media/Shutterstock Recently, an international team of researchers from Amsterdam and the United States conducted a clinical trial which demonstrates that stimulating the vagus nerve with a small implanted device significantly reduced inflammation and improved outcomes for patients with rheumatoid arthritis by inhibiting cytokine production. RA is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects approximately 1.3 million people in the United States and costs tens of billions of dollars to treat each year, according to the researchers. The neuroscientists and immunology experts involved in this study used state-of-the-art technology to map the neural circuitry that regulates inflammation. In one circuit—termed “the inflammatory reflex”—action potentials transmitted in the vagus nerve inhibit the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. The July 2016 study, "Vagus Nerve Stimulation Inhibits Cytokine Production and Attenuates Disease Severity in Rheumatoid Arthritis," appears online in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) and will be published in an upcoming print issue. This is the first human study designed to reduce symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis by stimulating the vagus nerve with a small implanted device which triggered a chain reaction that reduced cytokine levels and inflammation. Although this study focused on rheumatoid arthritis, the trial's results may have implications for patients suffering from other inflammatory diseases, including Parkinson's, Crohn’s, and Alzheimer's. In a statement, Paul-Peter Tak, the international principal investigator and lead author of the paper from the Division of Clinical Immunology & Rheumatology of the Academic Medical Center at the University of Amsterdam, said, "This is the first study to evaluate whether stimulating the inflammatory reflex directly with an implanted electronic device can treat RA in humans. We have previously shown that targeting the inflammatory reflex may reduce inflammation in animal models and in vitro models of RA . . . which might be relevant for other immune-mediated inflammatory diseases as well." These findings suggest a new approach to fighting diseases that are currently treated with relatively expensive drugs that have a host of side effects. VNS gives healthcare providers a potentially more effective way to improve the lives of people suffering from chronic inflammatory diseases. Conclusion: VNS Is a Potent Drug-Free Alternative for Treating Inflammation In conclusion, co-author Kevin J. Tracey, president and CEO of the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research and the person who discovered the inflammatory reflex, said, "This is a real breakthrough in our ability to help people suffering from inflammatory diseases. While we've previously studied animal models of inflammation, until now we had no proof that electrical stimulation of the vagus nerve can indeed inhibit cytokine production and reduce disease severity in humans. I believe this study will change the way we see modern medicine, helping us understand that our nerves can, with a little help, make the drugs that we need to help our body heal itself." The emerging field of bioelectronic integrative medicine targets a variety of disorders traditionally treated with pharmaceuticals by using advanced neuromodulation devices. DETOXIFYING & A HEALING CRISIS USUALLY GO HAND IN HAND Have you noticed when you do a detox or some other cleanse or healing protocol that you feel worse for a bit? That your symptoms seem like they are getting worse not better? That is because your body is experiencing a healing crisis.   WHAT IS A HEALING CRISIS A healing crisis is a temporary worsening of symptoms after beginning a CAM treatment. You may also see it called a homeopathic aggravation, a detox reaction, or a cleansing reaction. In a healing crisis, symptoms briefly worsen before beginning to improve, a temporary worsening of symptoms that arise as we go through the healing process. It may affect your mental, emotional and physical being as you reach a different level of health. The body is constantly striving to function towards optimal resonance with the memory of its cellular growth. With disease there is blockage, stagnation or a disturbance of proper regulation and alignment of cellular function.  This impairment can be a result of mental, emotional and/or physical trauma, poor lifestyle, environmental toxins or a genetic predisposition to disease.(1.) You may feel detox symptoms as you start clearing heavy metals or other bacteria and viruses out of your body. This is good, so push through it, as your body will be healthier and cleaner after the symptoms pass.   WHAT IT FEELS LIKE When you experience a healing crisis, it is important to take extra gentle care of yourself. It can help to spend some quiet time with whatever you are feeling and see if you can support your body to release anything that is no longer serving you. Drink extra water, rest, and practice self-compassion. Remember that you can pace the healing process, but stay the course. You can keep doing this until you feel that the symptoms you have been experiencing are gone, or as long as you like   Some detox symptoms you may experience are;  headaches metal taste fatigue body aches skin eruptions/rashes   The symptoms usually last 1-3 days. Your body will be healthier after you do it, so don't stop doing the detox. You can reduce what you are doing that is causing you to cleanse to reduce the symptoms if they are very uncomfortable for you and then gradually work your way back, but pushing through it will get your body to a better state of health.   WHY IS IT GOOD? A true healing crisis stimulates the immune system. There is a breakdown of muscle tissue, increasing the body’s amino acid pool and creating a rise in granular leukocytes. This causes nutrients to be released from storage to be utilized to a greater extent for the healing process. There is a reduction in blood concentrations of zinc and iron; this reduction inhibits bacterial growth and the growth of cancer cells. Optimal adrenal function is a necessary component of the healing crisis, as the adrenal medulla releases epinephrine and norepinephrine to cause vasoconstriction to the GI tract and vasodilation to skeletal muscles via the sympathetic nervous system, thus causing a decrease in blood flow to the digestive organs and protection of the internal organs. Hence, the patient experiences a decrease in appetite. Fasting during a fever maintains the fever at a stable temperature, prevents further suppression and protects the body from the autotoxicity caused by undigested food. During the healing crisis messages travel back and forth from the adrenal glands to the pituitary gland through the central nervous system (CNS). The CNS cannot function without amino acids, which act as neurotransmitters or precursors to neurotransmitters. Certain amino acids, such as taurine and gaba, neutralize toxins and enhance mobilization of nutrients to the inflammatory areas of the body. The utilization of oxygen in the body is converted from an anaerobic to an aerobic process during a healing crisis. During a healing crisis, numerous biochemical reactions take place that shift the body’s ability to both recognize abnormal cell growth and use oxidative processes to relieve inflammation. It is the body’s innate response in returning to homeostasis. (2.)   CONCLUSION Your body will be in a much better state after you cleanse. The Reason To Why Your Body May Not Be Healing

Is Your Brain Not Balanced? HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT IT IS HARD TO HEAL, FEEL THAT LIFE IS A STRUGGLE, AND YOUR THERAPIES JUST DON'T SEEM TO WORK? THEN YOUR BRAIN MAY NOT BALANCED Have you been trying for years to heal from health issues and just seem stuck? Without brain balance, life will feel like a struggle. You won’t stick to your goals and you won’t follow through on your own intentions. Without it, other therapies just don’t work well, even natural ones, like acupuncture or chiropractic. Once brain balance is restored, the trick is to maintain it, so that you continue to self-heal. Brain imbalance can be viewed as a “short-circuit” in the brain. Approximately 95% of people (even so-called healthy people) are not brain balanced according to John Diamond, MD, innovator of Behavioral Kinesiology and the author of the book, Your Body Doesn’t Lie. If our brain is not balanced, due to stress, trauma, toxins or radiation, then communication is lost in the body, not allowing it to heal and come into balance.   Is Your Brain Out Of Balance?   By examining the list below, you’ll have a pretty good idea if you are brain balanced or not. If you have all or most of the symptoms, it is likely that you need to balance your brain:  You can’t sleep through the night without waking  You trip or bump into things by accident  You have dyslexia or right/left disorientation etc.  You have ADD/ADHD (attention deficit disorder)  You are addicted to drugs, sugar, alcohol, caffeine, or wheat   You don’t remember your dreams  You feel stressed or panicky all the time  You can’t relieve chronic pain  You have tried all sorts of therapies but nothing seems to work  You feel better with treatment but the results don’t last  You experience chronic tiredness or brain fog  You tend to be edgy, irritable, quick to anger, or sad  You can’t easily let go of negative thoughts  You have mood swings or symptoms of depression  You have difficulty with decision making and remembering things  You feel chaotic and disorganized much of the time  You feel overwhelmed, lost or unmotivated  You get migraines easily, especially when the weather changes  You feel sick whenever there are significant shifts in earth energy such as electromagnetic storms, earthquakes, hurricanes etc.    Causes of Brain Imbalance There are many things that can cause brain imbalances. The most common include head injuries and exposure to electromagnetic radiation including those emanating from popular wireless devices. Food additives such as monosodium glutamate (MSG), artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, can cause cell death in the brain and predispose you to brain imbalances as well. Mercury and lead are heavy metals that are extremely toxic, particularly to the nervous system. Heavy metal toxicity causes chronic inflammation in the body which can lead to hardening of the arteries and heart disease in addition to contributing to pain. Most holistic experts agree that the number one risk of heavy metal toxicity is having mercury fillings in your teeth (often called “silver” fillings).   Achieving Brain Balance There are several methods to achieve brain balance. But by far, the fastest and easiest to use is an energy tool called the LifeWave Y-Age Aeon anti-stress patch. I’ll call it the Aeon patch for short. Last week we talked about how to cleanse your body from Heavy Metals, a major precursor to illness and disease. Next week will be a "How To" On deep liver cleansing, to heal disease in your body. I will share how I healed over 8 autoimmune illnesses in my body ...   This weeks topic will be on "Everyday Cleansing" ...things we can do every day to keep our bodies healthy and happy. ________________________________ LEMON WATER The first thing I like to add to my daily routine for cleansing is juicing 1/2-1 lemon in water every morning and drinking it first thing, then wait 20-30 minutes till you eat or drink anything else. You can do a lot for your body if you even do a gradual cleanse, like I have described above. Really....It's just a healthy way to eat and would be beneficial to have this as your main way of eating.  It just may take a little time to re-focus on how you create your meals, but once you get the hang of it, it is not hard. THE KEY IS PLANNING!! Make a weekly menu when you go shopping with yummy healthy recipes. Then you won't get stuck in the I'M HANGRY situation and eat whatever is fast and convenient. It just takes a few minutes to get it together, but having a menu will be a major help for you throughout the week to stay healthy and have the variety you want. I have purchased some great cookbooks, and I choose 1 per week to get my recipes out of and then switch throughout my cookbooks weekly. Make up a pitcher and have it on hand to drink throughout the day.   4 C        Water -Divided 2 tsp       Hibiscus tea or 2 tea bags 1/2 C     Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice 4 TBL    Raw Honey   Boil 1 cup of the water and add the Hibiscus tea, steep 10-15 minutes. Strain and place in the fridge to cool. In a bowl mix the remaining water, lemon juice and honey until dissolved. Mix two together when hibiscus mixture has cooled.

This is good, so push through it, as your body will be healthier and cleaner after the symptoms pass.   Some detox symptoms you may experience are;  headaches metal taste fatigue body aches   But know that it will just last a while and that your body will be healthier after you do it. Sometimes we need a little extra boost in helping us sleep. One of my main go-to's is Magnesium. Magnesium is an amazing sleep aid! It works with your nervous system to help you be calm and relaxed. It regulates the neurotransmitters in your brain and nervous system and helps balance your melatonin production, which in turn, helps to regulate your sleep cycles. By quieting the nervous system, magnesium helps your body and mind relax for sleep. Not only can magnesium help you get to sleep, but it plays a part in helping you achieve deep and restful sleep as well. A few other benefits of magnesium are; Help reduce leg cramps that can happen in the middle of the night, Help regulate your bowel movements (constipation)  Help alleviate anxiety and depression.   MY RESULTS WITH MAGNESIUM I have used magnesium for years. How I Healed Myself From Over 8 Different Auto-Immune Issues

This is my story of how I healed myself from; Insomnia, Chronic Fatigue, Chronic Constipation, Candida, Interstitial Cystitis of the Bladder, Brain Fog, Hair loss, Tinnitus and Adrenal Failure. I had been suffering from these for over 16 years. I had tried every natural cleanse, diet and treatment out there, and had spent thousands of dollars trying to heal myself naturally, but nothing completely worked. I was close but not quite there with my diet and supplements; and the things I learned through Anthony William and his book CLEANS TO HEAL  gave me the last keys to truly healing my body. Cleanse to Heal Book I did the candida diet for over a year with no success. I was still eating eggs, one of the main contributors to feeding the real underlying problem my body was having; an overgrowth of the Strep and Epstein Barr Viruses. Most of the "auto-immune" issues people are having today are based usually from these 2 viruses. Anthony talks about how these viruses work in causing all these issues in his books.  I was still eating foods that I shouldn't have been eating like high fat (keto), eggs, gluten and dairy which feed these viruses; and I was not eating enough of the foods that actually heal my body...like fruits and vegetables. I seriously eat a ton of fruit now, and am loving it!! He talks about how the fruit sugars are not the same as regular sugar and actually help heal your body and brain. I talked a little bit about this in my previous Blog: How Bananas Before Bed Can Help You Sleep.  By following his recommendations I have healed all the issues stated above...It has taken me about a year to do so. I have two things left to heal which are my thyroid and just the over all strengthening of my immune system. I fully expect to have these healed within the next 6 months to a year. Wow! You may say, "That is a long time!" According to Anthony William, it takes about 1 month per year you have been sick to heal your body. I feel so good now, it's definitely worth the time it takes to heal! I am not hungry or feel deprived with his recommendations. Actually I find myself eating more and more often than I used to. I have lost 25 pounds while doing this program, so hey....that's cool! I have even "cheated" occasionally throughout for special occasions, or to have a little break, and I still have healed 75-80% of my issues in about a year.  This has been truly amazing! I feel like a normal person again! And I wanted to share this information with you out there who may be suffering from similar issues like mine. I have also heard of people healing from; colitis, fibromyalgia, high blood pressure, chron's, shingles, MS, eczema, chronic acne, cancer and so much more. There is a lot of misinformation about fruit and carbs out there these days. The fad (keto) says that your brain and body need fat to work properly, that is misinformation. Your brain, liver and body actually run on glucose. If you do not have enough glucose reserves in these organs they will not function properly.  SIGNS YOUR BODY NEEDS GLUCOSE Brain fog Sleep disorders Lack of focus Anxiety Fatigue Poor digestion ADHD Depression Blood sugar imbalances and much more... I am talking about the glucose and fructose which come from fruit, not the processed sugars in cakes, cookies and other sweeteners. The glucose in bananas and other fruit are bonded to critical life supporting minerals, amino acids, anti-oxidants, vitamins and other phytonutrients, so it's not empty glucose you are eating. These fruits are also made up of fiber, pulp and water that have other wonderful health and digestion benefits. So please, don't be afraid to eat fruit! Finally you have permission to eat fruit! And NO they will not make you gain weight!!    MY EXPERIENCE I went on a very restrictive diet, similar to Keto, to get rid of my candida with very little carbs. As soon as I changed my diet to add in lots of fruit, these things started changing.  I have since lost 24 pounds, gotten rid of my candida, and all the other things listed up there (through fruit and eating a healthy cleansing diet). My brain and body feel calmer and more relaxed which help me to sleep deeper and better.  I eat 1 banana 1-2 hours before bedtime and it really does help.   You could even make a BANANA MILKSHAKE before bed: 1 Fresh banana 1 Frozen banana 1 Date 1/2 tsp Alcohol free vanilla extract 1/3 Cup Coconut water Dash of cinnamon Blend all together in a blender and enjoy!!
