• In this study, 72% percent of the individuals had normal daytime sleepiness on the Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS Test). • At the end of the study, 80% noted improved quality of sleep on the Leeds Sleep Evaluation Questionnaire (LESQ Test). • Also, 88% of participants had improved length of sleep on the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQ Test). • Considering the safety and results obtained in this study of Silent Nights® patches, it is reasonable to suggest that they may well be one of the preferred potential approaches to insomnia since 72 to 88% of the subjects experienced significant improvement in sleep. • Assessment: In summary, the overall data in this study demonstrated that SP6 patch worn on the ST 36 acupressure point 12 hours daily over a period of 1 week produced a highly significant improvement in physiologic functional status of the liver, pancreas, kidneys with an average statistical power >97% and a very significant improvement in the functional status of the thyroid, intestines and hypothalamus with an average power >87% and a significant improvement in the adrenal glands with an average statistical power >75%. • "Thermal changes were seen in all 30 subjects. The average thermal temperature pre patch is 31.94°C. The average thermal temperature post patch is 30.85 °C. The average Delta T is 1.09°C. • This pilot study explored the changes in amounts of GHK and GHK-Cu present in the blood as a result of wearing the LifeWave X39 patch for 1 week. There was a significant increase in GHK in the blood, seen at 24 hours, at the level of p<0.0098. A significant increase in GHK-Cu in the blood was also seen at 7 days, at the level of p<0.0137.
• Memory is a common issue for people above age 45. The WAIS III is a well-established intelligence test which includes a standard memory test. There was a clear trend, though not significant, improvement in short term memory by day 7. It is likely that this would get more significant with a larger group of people and a longer intervention period. • When calculating individual results for the 20 subjects with the application of the X-15 patch: 30% achieved balance (sympathetic score was equal to the parasympathetic); 55% changed toward balance; and 15% changed away from balance. When the two autonomic systems were broken out individually the activity of the SNS showed 20% changed toward balance while 55% changed away from balance and 25% remained the same. • Statistical analyses were carried out in both cohorts comparing the cumulative averages of the net changes in cellular physiologic functional status of each organ at the end of the study period with corresponding baseline data. The results in Cohort 1 showed a highly significant (p < 0.001) improvement in physiologic functional status of all organs tested except in pancreas that showed a very significant improvement (p < 0.01).
